“Oh, I don’t know why it’s not there.” Or at least that’s what we convince ourselves to think, and hence, feel about love. Because love today, with the help of society, has become more of a product rather than an emotion people confuse the various forms that it can exist as in this world ESPECIALLY when it comes to giving that kind of love. Most people are certain that love isn’t real, and if it is real then it’s hurtful and a dangerous territory that sucks our hearts out rapidly and viciously like a black-hole waiting to drain every single inch of life from within us into a world that’s so dark and lonely. Okay… Maybe that was a little too much.
BUT EVEN THEN the rest of the people who oppose the idea of love’s existence will actually contribute to this phenomena by stating that love is hard to find. It’s almost as if most of us don’t realize that we have given up on love…
“I give you my love, but you don’t care.” Moaned, complained, and wept the heart as it commanded the mind to embrace the intolerable pain of a heartbreak that is soon to become a scar that would be a mark for future vengeance and revenge fueled by anger, regret, shame, and unlimited “what if” and “I should have” scenarios that would circulate the mind in a crazy upward spiral that would forever blow mental situations out of proportion causing the body and mind to react abnormally for as long as it counts the days. “But it is not I” smiled the heart as it sat there calmly and lovingly detached completely from the suffering. “It is me” whispered the ego looking up to the mind in fear protecting it and the body from hurt even though little did the ego know that its tactics weren’t resourceful. Little did it also know that it cannot protect the heart for the heart is just fine where it is.
“So what is right and what is wrong?” Asked the mind in confusion. “Give me a sign. What is love?” Inquired further the ego to the mind PRETENDING that it is the mind. Because as far as we known it, love is what we receive from the world (friends, family, partners). Sure, love can exist in that way too, because we are always receiving that kind of love. But really… What is love?
Love is…
Accepting and caring for one’s self as much as another person’s self regardless of what their mishaps and fortunes.
Courageous and daring towards what matters most.
Passion and desire for that other self; that loving true self to blossom and be the rose of life.
Being in the moment as if time had stopped and nothing else in the world matters.
Strength against the odds, outrageous, and uncommon for the sake of the truth.
Forgiving the past and deciding on who you are now that would make you become the best of you.
A breeze of fresh air that sings “it’s okay” in every moment.
Grounding yourself to the truth.
Inspiration for a better tomorrow.
Excitement and zest for today.
Crying in pain and sorrow for what is worth and what will always be worth.
Certainty that you are the best there is, the best there was, and the best always will be.
Absolute self trust in self knowing that now is the time; your time to be the BEST of you!
Contribution to the fortunate and unfortunate.
Power to change the world; your world.
Believing, relieving, and pushing to be imperfectly perfect.
A kiss of hope and desire. Longing for a surprise; an anticipation for something amazing to happen.

Love is you… Love is who you are from the inside and how you see yourself whether in a mushy emotional way, or a strength oriented way, or even in that little pat on the back at the end of the day that tells you “you did good, kid… you did good…” as you smile at the smallest things in life that you already have.
In this space, love is not what you give to the world only, but what you give to yourself first. Thit is not being selfish. This is being self-full; you admire, respect, and desire yourself in ways that the most important people on this planet cannot even compete with. Only then when you realize that love can exist in such a way… ONLY THEN… You will break the spell of “Love is Blind”; your love will be unconditional, pure, and real like no other.
